If you’ve decided you want to live the old farmhouse dream, just be aware that not all old farmhouses are created equally.Our house is 114 years old and houses this age have gone through a lot of owners and a lot of different  renovations.Typically, some good renovations, and some not-so-good.

Be on the look out for a farmhouse that you can live comfortably in NOW and work on little by little over time.When I say over time, I mean LOTS of time.

Plan to not have anything change to be exactly what you want for at least 10 years.
